Currently under construction this new build project is a light industrial factory with 3 storey office attached outside Xi'An in the People's Republic of China. The factory will service and supply heavy equipment to the businesses based in the manufacturing heartland of China. The designs were developed to work with the standard of local skills and finishing quality rather than covering them up as is the norm. The rough surfaces of the shell will be left exposed to acknowledge "The Industrial" whilst the surfaces of day to day interaction will be crisply and precisely formed. A dichotomy echoed in the precision tooling which goes in to the cryogenic equipment that the factory supplies, with the heavy industrial environment in which they're installed.
