Project for refurbishment and external alterations to a sea-fronting appartment in Brighton. The property is at penthouse level of a Grade II listed mansion house that was converted to flats at the turn of the 20th Century. A sensitive approach was required at planning stage to secure consent. The aim was to create a covered canopy to provide shelter from the sun as well as an enlarged opening to give better connection to the stunning sea views. The appartment was originally made up a series of disjointed and odd spaces which were rationalised creating a large cinematic scale reception and entertaining area. The project was completed Summer 2020.
